Exciting News: One School, One Book is Back!
We are thrilled to announce that our One School, One Book event is returning this year, and we can’t wait to get started! Starting March 17th, all students and families will be reading Fenway and Hattie by Victoria J. Coe together every night. This fun and engaging event brings our entire school community together through the shared experience of reading!
About the Book: Meet Fenway, an excitable and energetic Jack Russell terrier with a big personality. Fenway lives with his family—Food Lady, Fetch Man, and his best friend in the world, Hattie. But when they move to the suburbs, Fenway is faced with a world of changes, from a huge Dog Park to mischievous Evil Squirrels, and even a slippery floor in the Eating Room! To make matters worse, Hattie seems to be outgrowing him and is spending more time with her new friend and playing baseball. Fenway is determined to prove that she’s still his best friend and that nothing will come between them. Get ready for a heartwarming tale of friendship, loyalty, and overcoming change—told from a dog’s-eye view!
How It Works:
Every night, families will read the same chapters of Fenway and Hattie.
Look out for discussion questions, activities, and trivia that you can do together.
Make sure to join in on the fun, share your thoughts, and enjoy the experience as a family!
Stay Tuned: Books will be sent home soon (one per family residing in the same home) along with more information about the event. Keep an eye out for updates, and get ready to start reading on March 17th!
We hope you’re as excited as we are to bring this wonderful book to life together. Happy reading!
