On Saturday, November 16,   they competed by doing 3 presentations and 5 robot competition.  The presentations dealt with their chosen project (A self sustaining rooftop garden for schools), core values (inclusivity, teamwork, innovation, discovery, impact and fun), the design and programming of the robot they created (without adult help).

For such a young team (the league goes to 8th grade) they did incredible. They placed 4th overall and 5th place out of 24 teams in the robot games, and only 15 points behind the leader (230 pts to 245 pts).  This is in addition to winning the best robot design award which weighs the robot's functionality, sturdiness, and programming.  There are 12 missions which have varying degrees of difficulty and corresponding scores.  They accomplished the 3 missions that they set out to accomplish and are currently working on the 4th mission which should be done by the end of the Friday practice.

The state championship in Shelton on the 7th will take the top 48 teams from the 270+ which competed in CT and pit the best against the best. They are already working to improve their next performance.  They are actively working on improving their robot to accomplish more missions and score more as well as working to improve their presentations and teamwork.
